What’s On in January/February 2012

Sat 28/01/2012 to Fri 9/03/2012 Passion for Print

Exhibition of four printmakers including letterpress, lino cut, screen printing and digital print.

We also have new designers with ceramics, textiles, cards and jewellery.Entrance Free

Mon 30/01/2012 Knit and Natter Group 12 noon to 2pm

Keep calm and knit on! at our Knit and Natter social group every Monday. This is an

informal group that meets weekly to knit, sew, crochet and chat. Beginners and

experienced needle workers welcome.Costs: £1.25 includes a cuppa and cake

Saturday 4/02/2012 10am to 4pm Recycled Log Cabin Patchwork

An excellent workshop for beginners to patchwork or sewing and for anyone interested in “make do and mend” textiles. We will be reusing shirting and other textiles to piece together traditional Log Cabin patchwork and create a table runner, patchwork pin

cushions or a cushion cover.Costs: £45/£35 Places available: 10

A list of materials will be sent and some materials will be available. We have three

sewing machines for student use and you may bring your own machine

“Diamond in the Square” is an easy introduction to Amish-style patchwork and quilting. Known for their simple way of living, the Amish people of North America choose plain dyed fabrics that are

enhanced with hand quilted patterns. Our workshop shows you how to make a mini quilt or wall

hanging that you will enjoy quilting at your leisure.Costs: £45/£35 Places available: 10
